Change, cz that’s the game !

How many times have you heard that the only thing constant is change? It may sound cliché s but you also must have noticed that it is essentially true? You can observe the game of change in many ways around you:  change in weather? change in seasons? the change in political climate? Change in individual characteristics and habit?

Have you ever thought if this is necessary? After all, we all are very comfortable in a very familiar situation. Then why is this game needed at all?? !!

Can you imagine a world which is static and stagnant? Where everything goes on relentlessly with no scope for variation?

Usually, I seek change to improve and to grow… to evolve and emerge as a new person. I believe that change should begin from within if it has to be sustainable. It shows your power and willingness to adapt.

To accept the change you have to be open with your thoughts. Reach out and share what you feel. Change need not be drastic and abrupt….we can always take baby steps to get where we eventually want to be. Because of our legacy habits we are resistant to adapt to the new things, but you should accept that it is a part of life. How ever discomforting it may be, change always brings in new opportunities, new paths for success, in carrier , in life 🙂

Sometimes you just have to do the right things :)

“Circumstances change us. Whether you like it or no, reality takes control of you, and you know what? That sucks. Change sucks.”
“Change is not always bad. It broadens your mindset.”

“But sometimes you make a choice in that moment and you know in your heart it is going to change everything.”

Scary. Scary how one choice you make is going to attack you like a snowball of consequences running down a slope. But we still have the chance of making that choice. Always. Every single time. Most of the times we humans are afraid to make and stick to our choices because the consequences are sure to follow and we lack the courage to face them. Not always the choice of a person turns out to be in their favor. There are 2 kinds of people in this world. One who will let go of anybody’s happiness for their own and the other who will let go of their own happiness for anybody else’s.

I believe destinies are handmade. If we want something, we will do anything to make it happen, on the other hand if we don’t want something; we will make sure it doesn’t happen. We will not try hard enough. It’s just a clearer picture of how badly someone wants something. It’s that simple. I’ve reached a point where questions are teaching me more than answers ever did. We humans are ready to do anything to fill that empty space, anything. Be it momentary, we will do anything to distract our hearts; we will run behind anything that gives us an escape, an escape from reality. We will also soon realize that escapism is only transitory and we will also get pissed off.

Who we are today is because of what happened to us yesterday. People do change. Change is good, I guess. Or maybe we convince ourselves that it is good because we’ve come too far and there is no going back to who we once were. We humans enjoy pain. We cling on to it, the reason being that it has taken away a part of us that we are not completely ready to let go of. We find that part of us, in pain and hence we enjoy pain.

We all know a lot of people who are happy only when they are unhappy.” – Paulo Coelho. This quote has never made more sense to me than now.

If small little things in life give you joy, be glad for there is still sanity left in you 🙂

Hidden Blessings In Failure, Rejection and Loss

This week was pretty bad for me specially after getting rejected by my dream company, but the success which came after so many failures was pretty satisfying and was worth the wait. The things for which I got rejected in earlier companies came out as my strength for the company for which I got placed. As a result of those failures, my life has grown richer and fuller from the experience of failing. Although I cant say that I truly buy the concept of failure. There really is no such thing. Life is a journey and it is impossible to fail at something when you believe  there are only lessons to learn from and that empower you for the next time. If i had remained rigid to my goal I would have been vulnerable to making myself wrong, as we know this can be crippling to our self confidence and self esteem if we fail. If you define life as an opportunity to discover, challenge and befriend yourself then how can you ever possibly lose.?

Denis Waitley said it well:

“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

Hidden blessings which I found in my failure were

1) You will clarify your passion

2) You will uncover new skills

3) You will find out who your friends are

4) You will check your blind spots

5) You’ll Burn Away Pride and Arrogance

6) You’ll Grow Elephant Skin

7) You’ll Never Wonder “What If?” Again

8) You’ll Appreciate Your Success

Value and meaning become heightened in the face of difficulty. The greatest celebrations come from the toughest battles. You’ll realize the dream isn’t all rainbows and butterflies.

The bitterness of every failure adds sweetness to every victory.

Wake Up Call

Sometimes, your own failure is a wake up call and sometimes, someone’s success becomes the biggest wake up call you can ever get.

If you feel like you’re at the end the road with nowhere to go, realize you are lying to yourself. You have imprisoned yourself in your own mind by telling self-defeating stories – stories about what your life should be like, what you should have already accomplished, and so forth. By doing this you’ve created a tiny space in your mind and you’ve begun to believe you are actually living in it.

But you are NOT. You are alive in a vast world with infinite destinations. Take a moment to remind yourself of this. Go outside. Look at the sky and the clouds. THIS is the space in which you really live. Breathe it in. Then look at your current situation again.

You never fail until you’re satisfied with failure. – Failure is not falling down; failure is staying down when you have the choice to get back up. Sometimes you have to fail a thousand times to succeed.

What you have learned is what’s important. – Life always offers you a second chance – it’s called tomorrow. But this second chance doesn’t mean anything if you haven’t learned from the events of today. You have to acknowledge your troubles but gather strength from them, and laugh at your mistakes but learn from them.

Tough times are just part of life’s natural balance. – Life lives, life dies. Life laughs, life cries. Life gives up and life tries. And life looks different through everyone’s eyes. In fact, who you were, who you are, and who you will become are three completely different people. And as you gradually grow beyond the person you were yesterday, keep life’s challenges in perspective.

Pain helps you grow. – Sometimes things must change so you can change. Sometimes you must break a little so you can get a peek inside to see what an awesome powerhouse you are. Sometimes mistakes must be made so wisdom can be earned. Sometimes you must overcome heartache so you can begin to follow your heart again.

Success is a way of living. – Don’t let your struggles become your identity. Not everything in your life will go as you expect it to. This is why you need to drop expectations, live in the present, and go with the flow, rather than against it. Remind yourself that it’s perfectly okay not to be perfect.

It’s not supposed to be easy. – Just because you’re not where you want to be today doesn’t mean you won’t be there someday. Again, success is tied to long-term determination. Successful people keep moving and trying. They make mistakes, but they do not quit. If things in your life aren’t happening as planned right now, that’s okay. It just means it’s not the right time.

Life is still good. – You may have seen better days, but you have also seen worse. You might not have all your wants, but you do have all your needs. You woke up with a few aches and pains, but you woke up. Your life may not be perfect, but it is good. And more good things are coming down the road as long as you keep moving forward
